Hi Tom,

You will just have to keep in mind that we are sitting in our office or at home and reading your blog. To us, it will always be interesting as we are learning of places and countries that we might never visit in our lifetime. You have a golden opportunity here and I don't think that a blog about your experience can ever be boring. For people, like me, it is always exciting to learn about other countries and cultures. Great job and keep it coming.

Hi Simon, really happy to hear that - the Highlands are an awesome place to cycle (weather permitting!). My first ever cycle trip was in 2006, mountain-biking off-road from Inverness to Fort William with a couple of mates - one of the best weeks of my life. I'm jealous!

Tom, I'm struggling to express in words what your blogg means to us here in Inverness, Scotland. Whether it's the tedium of the above, or the passion of Ethiopia, your writings are eagerly awaited and poured over each week. You've already inspired us as a family to purchase two extrawheel trailers and go bike/camping in the Highlands this summer holidays. It's important you keep typing what you feel chum and don't try to be anything else! Thanks .......take care

Well for me it's good to hear how you are getting along more specifically than "Tom's in Dubai" and to be able to picture in some way what you've experienced. Otherwise it's just a faceless cycle ride from one landmark to another, and we get nothing in between. I found it interesting reading at least!

The blog painted the picture of the experience exceptionally well in my opinion. Sounded a tedious journey. What 'stickability' you have. Well done.

I thought it was pretty boring actually. I really struggled to make the last two blogs interesting. Probably because the experience itself really wasn't very inspiring. What do you think?
